About Rada Jones

Many years ago, Rada was born in Transylvania in a medieval town just a few miles from Bran Castle, which many believe to have been Dracula’s Castle. That’s most likely not true, but it attracts tourists and helps businesses.

Still, growing up with communists and vampires taught her that humans- dead or alive – can be fickle, but you can always trust books and dogs. That’s why she read every book she could get, including the phone book (too many characters, not enough action), and adopted every stray she happened upon, from dogs to frogs.

After immigrating to the US to join her American husband, she spent years studying medicine and working in the ER and on cruise ships worldwide, but she still speaks like Dracula’s cousin.

Rada lives with her husband and their German Shepherd Guinness in a cozy Adirondack cabin surrounded by deep forests, industrious beavers, and occasional hungry bears. She spends her days writing, hiking, and dreaming about traveling to faraway places.
