RR Jones was born in Transylvania, near Bran Castle, where the forests keep secrets. There, Dracula’s spirit still lives in the six-foot thick walls, and long strings of garlic hang around the houses’ windows.
That’s where she learned about magic from her grandma. She skipped school to chase ghosts around the White Tower’s ruins and crisscrossed the Carpathians to breathe in the pine incense imbued with Transylvanian magic.
But that was long ago. These days, RR Jones lives in the Adirondack mountains with her husband. But she still has a black cat. And a broom. Though she rarely uses it since she prefers to walk.
Transylvania’s history and magic run deep in her blood, so she pours them into her books.
